Description

Salty is a quick and easy to learn trick-taking game for 3 to 4 players that's all about getting the right amount of seasoning. Published in 2022 by game designer LEO, this 20 to 30 minute game is perfect for a fun and casual game night. The goal is to collect the perfect number of seasonings to match your chosen dish, but be careful not to overdo it, as too much seasoning can lead to negative points. Each player must follow the seasoning card played by the previous player, and the card with the closest salt content to the number of salt cubes left on the seasoning rack wins the trick. The twist in Salty is that the winning card is determined by its proximity to the number of salt cubes left, with the closest rank winning, and strength of the seasoning being the tiebreaker. With a simple ruleset and fast gameplay, Salty is a great introduction to trick-taking games, and its short playtime makes it easy to fit in multiple rounds. The player with the highest score at the end of the rounds wins, so it's all about finding that perfect balance of seasonings to take the top spot. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for a fun and lighthearted game, Salty is a great choice for anyone looking to add some excitement to their game night.
