Description

Scotland Rising is a medieval wargame that drops you into the midst of a fierce battle, where knights, pikemen, archers, and ax men clash in a crowded battlefield. As the commander of your army, you'll take on the role of either Robert the Bruce or King Edward II, leading your troops towards victory by inflicting damage on your opponent and relieving the siege of Stirling Castle. The game is designed for 1 to 2 players and can be played in about 90 minutes, making it a great option for those looking for a fun and challenging experience without a huge time commitment. The rules of the game are easy to learn, and the gameplay is driven by action points, dice rolling, and a hexagon grid, which adds a layer of strategy and depth to the game. With its simple rules and short playtime, Scotland Rising is a great introduction to wargames, and its medieval setting and historical theme make it a compelling choice for fans of the genre. Designed by Mike Wylie and Grant Wylie, and first published in 2014, Scotland Rising is a great example of a well-designed and engaging wargame that's perfect for a fun night in with a friend or a solo gaming session.
