Description
In Spectral Rails, you're the engineer of a ghost train, tasked with finding lost souls in ghost towns across the American Southwest and delivering them to their hometowns so they can finally rest. This 60-minute game for 3 to 4 players is all about strategic planning and timing, as you lay down tracks and manage your resources to outmaneuver your opponents. As you travel through the desert landscape, you'll need to balance your own progress with the need to block your opponents' paths or leave them to pick up the pieces. With a normal level of complexity, this 2011 game from Morgan Dontanville is easy to learn for experienced board game players, but challenging to master. By bidding, managing your hand, and picking up and delivering souls, you'll be competing to be the most successful ghost train engineer, and the one who brings the most peace to the restless spirits of the Wild West.
