Description
In Spirit Island, you'll defend your island home from colonizing Invaders as a spirit of the land, each with unique elemental powers. Players simultaneously choose which power cards to play, paying energy to do so, and using combinations that match their elemental affinities can grant free bonus effects. The Invaders expand across the island map, exploring, building, and ravaging, while the islanders fight back and lend aid to the spirits. As the game escalates, spirits spread their presence and seek new powers, while the Invaders step up their colonization efforts. Winning requires destroying the Invaders, but as you frighten them, victory becomes easier. Defeat comes if a spirit is destroyed, the island is overrun, or the Invader deck is depleted. With different adversaries to fight against, each offering a unique path of difficulty boosts, Spirit Island is a complex and thematic cooperative game that challenges players to work together to defend their island home.
