Description
Get ready to dive into ancient warfare with SPQR, a game that's been a staple of strategy enthusiasts since 1992. Designed by Richard H. Berg and Mark Herman, this game drops you into the midst of five pivotal battles of the Roman Republic, where you'll need to master the art of commanding your troops to emerge victorious. With a unique blend of dice rolling, grid movement, and line of sight mechanics, SPQR challenges you to outmaneuver your opponent and destroy their army. As a wargame for two players, SPQR is all about simulation and strategy, with a complexity that may take some time to learn but pays off in deep and rewarding gameplay. With a playtime of around 240 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to immerse yourself in the world of ancient Rome and test your mettle against your opponent.
