Description

In the 16th century, Russia's expansion into Siberia marked the beginning of a fascinating era, closely tied to the name Stroganov. This period of exploration comes alive in Stroganov: Big Box, a game where you'll embark on a journey across the vast expanse of Siberia, navigating through spring, summer, and autumn before returning home each winter. As you travel, your goal is to collect the most valuable furs, gaining wealth and fame in the process. With each passing year, or round, you'll need to strategically utilize your actions to outdo your opponents and collect the most victory points. The Stroganov: Big Box is more than just the base game, it includes the Turukhan expansion, which adds a whole new level of replayability to your experience. This expansion introduces four different modules that you can mix and match to keep the game fresh and exciting. Whether you're playing solo or with up to three friends, the game mechanics of action points, area movement, and worker placement will keep you engaged for 90 to 120 minutes. While the game rules may take some time to learn, the complexity is well worth the effort, as you delve into the world of Siberian exploration. With the guidance of game designer Andreas Steding, you'll be immersed in a world of discovery and competition. As you explore the Siberian wilderness, you'll need to balance your actions carefully, using your limited resources to traverse the map, collect furs, and outmaneuver your opponents. With the combination of the base game and the Turukhan expansion, Stroganov: Big Box offers a unique experience each time you play. Since its publication in 2024, this game has been captivating players with its intricate mechanics and immersive theme. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for a new adventure, Stroganov: Big Box is an excellent choice for anyone looking to explore the uncharted territories of 16th-century Siberia.
