Description

Get ready to embark on a thrilling adventure in The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – The Dark of Mirkwood, a standalone scenario pack designed for 1 to 2 players. This expansion, crafted by Nate French and published in 2022, promises 30 to 60 minutes of immersive gameplay, where you'll delve into the heart of Mirkwood to rescue the captives taken by the Goblins or avenge them if you cannot. The game's complexity might take some time to learn, but the reward is well worth the effort. As you navigate through the dark forest, you'll encounter challenging scenarios, including The Oath and The Caves of Nibin-dûm, which were originally part of the Limited Collector's Edition. With the inclusion of new boon and burden cards, you'll experience a fresh and exciting journey, either as a two-part adventure or as an extension of the core set's Mirkwood Paths campaign. The game's mechanics, such as Automatic Resource Growth, Cooperative Game, and Variable Player Powers, will keep you engaged and invested in the outcome. Will you track down the Goblins and rescue the captives, or will you become lost in the dark of Mirkwood? The fate of the Woodman village rests in your hands, and the journey is yours to undertake. With its rich fantasy setting and novel-based storyline, The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – The Dark of Mirkwood is an adventure you won't want to miss.
