Description

Tomoe is a game of strategic maneuvering, where two players engage in a battle of wits to encircle areas of the board with their color. The game is all about balance and careful planning, as every move you make not only builds your own territory, but also potentially helps your opponent. With 32 triple hexagon tiles to place and rotate, the game requires a deep understanding of the board and the possible consequences of each action. As the game unfolds, the tension builds, and players must think several steps ahead to outmaneuver their opponent and emerge victorious. The game's simple yet elegant design makes it easy to learn, even for those familiar with board games, and a typical playtime of 30 minutes means you can quickly get in a game or two. Designed by Markus Hagenauer, Gerd Breitenbach, and Gerd Breitenbach, Tomoe has been challenging players since its release in 2014. With its abstract strategy and tile placement mechanics, Tomoe is a game that will appeal to fans of strategic gameplay and tactical thinking. As the board fills up and the game comes to a close, players count up the sectors of their opponent's color that they've managed to encircle, and the player with the highest score is declared the winner.
