Released in 2022, this game is perfect for a group of friends or family, supporting 2 to 7 players, and can be learned in no time, making it an excellent addition to any game night. In Treasures of Nakbe, you're part of an expedition exploring the ancient Mayan city of Nakbe, in search of hidden treasures. As you arrive at the temple, you inadvertently wake up the god Ekchua, who's not too pleased about your presence. Your goal is to grab as many treasures as possible while making a quick escape, all within 45 minutes of gameplay. The game mechanics are straightforward, with a roll-and-move system that's easy to grasp, even for new players. You'll roll dice to determine how many spaces your expedition member can move, and when you land on a space with treasure, you get to claim it. However, there's a twist - you need to keep your identity hidden, or you'll face the wrath of Ekchua. This adds a fun bluffing element to the game, as you try to outsmart your opponents and protect your expedition member from the god's fury. With its unique blend of adventure, mythology, and social interaction, Treasures of Nakbe is a game that will keep you on the edge of your seat. As you navigate the temple, you'll need to balance your treasure hunting with the need to stay one step ahead of Ekchua. With its short playtime and simple rules, Treasures of Nakbe is an excellent choice for a quick game night or a fun activity with friends and family. The game's themes of adventure and mythology add a rich layer of depth, and the bluffing mechanics ensure that every game is different. So gather your friends, get ready to roll the dice, and see who will emerge victorious in the thrilling world of Treasures of Nakbe.
