Description

In the world of Unrest, the Empire's grip on power seems unshakeable, but the Rebellion is determined to bring about change. This 2023 game, designed by Brendan Hansen, drops you into the midst of a high-stakes struggle for control of five City Districts. As one of two players, you'll be part of an asymmetric battle where the odds are stacked against the Rebellion, but with careful planning and strategy, they might just have a chance to topple the regime. With a playtime of just 10 to 20 minutes, Unrest is a quick and intense experience that's easy to learn, making it accessible to new players. The set collection mechanics add a layer of depth, as you gather resources and intelligence to further your goals. As a card game, Unrest is all about making the most of the cards in your hand, whether you're playing as the Empire, using your might to crush the Rebellion, or as the Rebellion itself, using stealth and cunning to outmaneuver your opponent. With its simple rules and fast-paced gameplay, Unrest is a great choice for anyone looking for a fun and challenging experience, and its compact playtime makes it perfect for a quick game night or a break from more complex games.
