Description

Get ready to dive into the mystical world of Makaifuda, a trick-taking game like no other. In this 30 to 50 minute game, 3 to 4 players take on the role of predictors, trying to guess which monster suit will come out on top. The twist is that it's not the players who win tricks, but the monsters themselves, battling it out in a fierce competition. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, you'll be up and running in no time, making this 2023 release a great addition to any game night. As you play, you'll keep track of how many tricks each suit wins, but the real strategy comes in when you choose a card to bet on which suit you think will win the most tricks. The points are awarded based on how many people predicted the right winning suit, with a clever twist - if more people bet on the same suit, the points are lower, making it a delicate balance between following the crowd and striking out on your own. With its unique blend of mythology and social deduction, Makaifuda is a game that will keep you on your toes and leave you eager for the next round.
