Description
Wildcatters is a tactical and strategic board game set in the 19th century oil industry, where 2 to 4 players take on the role of oil barons. The goal is to deliver more oil barrels to the continents than the other players, while also collecting more shares and money. Players develop oil fields, bid for oil rights, and build rigs, oil tankers, trains, and refineries to achieve this goal. The game is played over several rounds, with each player starting with a set of rigs, trains, tankers, and refineries. Players work together to find oil at a lower cost, then transport it to refineries using each other's trains and tankers. With a mix of area majority, auction, and network building mechanics, Wildcatters offers a complex and engaging experience that will challenge even the most seasoned players.
