Description
Isekai Guild Masters is a Japanese board game that lets you manage your own adventurer guild in a fantasy world where people from the real world are reincarnated. The game is full of flavor text typical of the Isekai genre, which is super popular in Japanese culture. As you play, you'll focus on expanding your guild's influence without stressing out, which is pretty cool. There's no direct attacking with cards, but you'll interact with other players through area control and quick actions, which keeps things exciting. Each game is unique, thanks to the 105 one-of-a-kind event cards and the special characters with their own abilities that get dispatched to different players. This means that every time you play, you'll have a different experience, which is a big part of the game's charm. The game's designer, hatituki, was actually inspired by Terraforming Mars, which is a pretty well-known game. Isekai Guild Masters is designed for 1 to 5 players and takes around 150 to 180 minutes to play, so it's a bit of a commitment, but it's definitely worth it if you're into civilization-building, exploration, and fantasy games. The rules are pretty straightforward, so if you're familiar with board games, you should have no problem jumping in and starting your own guild.
