Description

Bitwa Warszawska is a fast-paced wargame for two players that drops you into the midst of the Polish-Bolshevik war in August 1920. As the Polish Army, you'll need to defend Warsaw against the invading Bolshevik armies, while as the Red Army, your goal is to breach the capital and claim victory. With easy-to-learn rules and a playtime of just 25 to 35 minutes, this game is perfect for a quick yet intense gaming session. Designed by Jan Madejski and published in 2020, Bitwa Warszawska combines action points, card play, and grid movement to create a thrilling experience. As you move your armies across the hexagon grid, you'll need to use skillful bluffing to outmaneuver your opponent, as you won't know the strength of their forces or which attack will be the decisive blow. Combat is resolved using a special deck of cards, adding an extra layer of strategy and unpredictability to the game. With its simple yet engaging mechanics, Bitwa Warszawska is a great introduction to wargames, and its short playtime makes it easy to fit in a match or two. The game also comes with scoring rules for playing a match of two games, making it suitable for tournaments, and includes an illustrated historical article to provide context and depth to the game.
