Description

Age of Craft is a game that combines resource management and city building, where players draft and trade dice to construct the best city. Designed by Toryo Hojo and published in 2014, this game is easy to learn and can be played by 2 to 4 players in about 40 minutes. In Age of Craft, players roll dice and choose which numbers to keep, passing the remaining dice to their opponents, who can then select from them. This sets the stage for negotiation and trading, as players try to get the combinations of numbers they need to build up their resources. As players collect the right combinations of numbers, they can use these resources to purchase cards that represent different types of buildings, which they add to their city. The cards provide resource production and victory points, and there are six basic types to choose from, along with seven types of action cards that are randomly chosen each game. Players can build up their cities by collecting the right cards and trading dice with their opponents to get the resources they need. The game ends when one player reaches a total of 20 points or when the last Mercantile House card is purchased, and the player with the most points is declared the winner. With its unique blend of dice rolling, trading, and negotiation, Age of Craft offers a fun and engaging experience for players. The game's city building and resource management mechanics make it a great choice for fans of strategic gameplay, and the dice drafting and trading mechanics add a social element that keeps players interacting with each other throughout the game. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for a new game to try, Age of Craft is definitely worth checking out, and with its expansions, such as Blueprints and Visitors, Architecture Alliance, and Rebel Army, there's always more to explore and discover in this exciting game.
