Description
In the cooperative board game Uranus, you and up to five friends take on the roles of alien rulers, each with unique special powers, living on the moons of Uranus. Your peaceful existence in underground dwellings has been disrupted by frequent and violent asteroid attacks, threatening the very survival of your people. To escape this desperate situation, you must work together to build infrastructure, develop technologies, and protect your moons from destruction. With the asteroid attacks causing irreparable damage, you're in a race against time to save your people and settle on Uranus before it's too late. As you play through the game, you'll experience four distinct phases, each with its own challenges and opportunities. You'll simultaneously mine and transport moon rocks, use them to progress on projects, and build and activate completed projects. The game mechanics, designed by Ellie Dix, combine cooperative gameplay, line drawing, network and route building, and simultaneous action selection, making for a thrilling and dynamic experience. With the Crayon Rail System and variable player powers, each game is unique and requires strategic thinking and teamwork to succeed. As you navigate the challenges of asteroid attacks and resource management, you'll need to work together to construct launchpads, fortifications, and technologies that will ultimately allow you to escape your doomed moons. In this 45- to 60-minute game, published in 2021, you'll embark on a journey through space exploration and fantasy, fighting against the clock to save your people. With easy-to-learn rules and a high level of replayability, Uranus is an exciting and engaging game for players of all experience levels. As you work together to build a new home on Uranus, you'll discover the true meaning of cooperation and strategy, and you'll be on the edge of your seat as you try to beat the game and ensure the survival of your people. Will you be able to overcome the challenges and settle on Uranus before your moons explode, or will the asteroid attacks prove too much to handle? There's only one way to find out – gather your friends and start playing Uranus today.
