Description

Burdigala is a game of city building and growth, set in the ancient Roman city of Bordeaux. Players take on the role of architects, competing to build and complete various structures throughout the city, with the goal of earning the most points. The game board features a map of the city, with building sites and streets waiting to be developed. At the start of the game, tiles are placed face down on each building site, showing a building and its reward on one side, and the number of cubes needed to complete it on the other. As players roll the dice and move their architects around the city, they add cubes to adjacent building sites, earning points and rewards for their progress. With easy-to-learn rules and a playtime of just 45 minutes, Burdigala is a fun and accessible game for 2 to 4 players. The game's mechanics, including dice rolling and hand management, add a layer of strategy and excitement to the gameplay. As players complete buildings, they flip over the tiles to reveal their rewards, and may even gain benefits from nearby architects through Intrigue cards. With the ability to take Corruption tokens to gain special benefits, players must balance their progress with the risks and rewards of the game. In the end, the player with the most points wins, making Burdigala a thrilling and competitive experience for all who play.
