Description

In Future Energy, you'll embark on a mission to build a network of sustainable energy production plants across Europe, competing against 1 to 3 other players in a game that's easy to learn but challenging to master. Designed by Emanuele Ornella and published in 2023, this economic and environmental game is all about strategic planning and clever decision-making. Each turn consists of three phases: earning income, making purchases, and expanding your network by moving a shared surveyor piece along the built networks, which may require paying other players for the use of their networks. As you replace old power plants with new ones, you'll unlock special abilities and one-time benefits that can give you an edge over your opponents. The game takes about 60 minutes to play, and the randomly placed old plants on the board ensure a different puzzle every time, keeping the game exciting and unpredictable. At the end of the game, you'll earn points based on the number of plants in your largest network of connected cities, and the player with the most points will be declared the winner.
