Power Grid is a game of strategy and resource management where 2 to 6 players compete to supply the most cities with power. Designed by Friedemann Friese and first published in 2004, this game has become a classic in the world of board games. Players mark pre-existing routes between cities for connection and bid against each other to purchase power plants, which are used to power their cities. The game requires a mix of planning and adaptability as players need to acquire raw materials to power their plants while also trying to upgrade to more efficient ones. As the game progresses, newer and more efficient power plants become available, making it a challenge for players to balance their resources and network expansion.
