Description
Pacific Northwest Rails is a game that will transport you to a world of trains and high-stakes trading, where you'll need to navigate the complex web of rail lines and stock markets to come out on top. As one of 2 to 6 players, you'll have the chance to collect stock in various rail lines and use your strategic thinking to run cards on the outside track, before completing the runs using the inside tracks. With a playtime of 180 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to get fully immersed in the game and make your moves count. As you play, you'll need to balance your auction and bidding skills with your ability to pick up and deliver goods, all while keeping a close eye on your stock holdings. The game's normal complexity level makes it accessible to anyone familiar with board games, and the economic and train-themed mechanics will keep you engaged and challenged. Designed by Bob Carlsen and first published in 1998, Pacific Northwest Rails is a classic game that still holds up today, offering a unique and thrilling experience that will keep you coming back for more. Your goal is simple: be the first to accumulate $1,500 in stocks and cash, or have the most cash after 10 years have passed, and you'll be declared the winner.
