Description

Stockpile is an economic board game where 2 to 5 players take on the role of stock market investors, aiming to strike it rich by the end of the game. With a playtime of just 45 minutes, it's a fast-paced and engaging experience that combines traditional stockholding strategies with additional mechanisms like auction bidding and commodity speculation. The rules are easy to learn, making it accessible to new players, and the game's design by Brett Sobol and Seth Van Orden has been refined since its publication in 2015. Players are given insider information each round, allowing them to make informed decisions about buying and selling stocks. They also participate in auctions for stockpiles, which contain a mix of face-up and face-down cards, adding an element of uncertainty and bluffing to the game. As players navigate the stock market, they must consider factors like stock splits, bankruptcy, and liquidity, all while trying to outmaneuver their opponents to become the wealthiest investor.
