Description
In Greenland, you'll lead one of four tribes - the Tunit, Norse, Sea Sámi, or Thule - as they inhabit Greenland from the 11th to the 15th centuries. Your goal is to secure food, resources, and technology to grow your tribe, while navigating the challenges of the harsh environment and competing with other tribes. You'll send your population out to hunt native species, gather resources, and colonize new lands, all while managing the risks of natural disasters and feuds with other tribes. As you play through six phases, representing six generations, you'll need to balance short-term needs with long-term strategy, negotiating with other players and making tough decisions about how to allocate your resources. The game is won by earning victory points, which are awarded differently depending on whether you adopt a polytheistic or monotheistic worldview. With its unique blend of auction, dice rolling, and worker placement mechanics, Greenland offers a challenging and immersive gaming experience that's perfect for 1 to 4 players looking for a game that will keep them engaged for 60 to 120 minutes.
