Description

Dien Bien Phu is a solo wargame that drops you into the midst of the First Indochina War, where you'll take on the role of the French Expeditionary Force defending an air-land base against the communist Viet Minh. The game is set during the critical period of March to May 1954, when the Viet Minh launched a series of intense assaults on the French position. As the French, your goal is to hold out long enough for the fortress to be relieved, or even achieve a decisive victory by breaking the Viet Minh's morale. With easy-to-learn rules, Dien Bien Phu is accessible to new players, and its point-to-point movement mechanics make for a thrilling and immersive experience. Designed by Joseph Miranda and published in 2015, this game is a must-play for fans of modern warfare and the Vietnam War. Although it's designed as a solo game, you can also play with friends, dividing up responsibilities such as overall commander, defensive sector commanders, or air and artillery specialists. Will you be able to lead the French to victory, or will the Viet Minh overwhelm your defenses? Dive into Dien Bien Phu to find out, and experience one of the most pivotal battles in modern history.
