Description
In Shadows over the Empire, the battle for control of Cardis is on. The city is in chaos after a long siege and the Conclave of Law is trying to establish new rule. But behind the scenes, several factions are vying for power, including the former Queen, the Order of the Coin, and the Asmidan's Church. Each faction has its own agenda and will stop at nothing to achieve its goals. Players take on the roles of leaders of these factions, influencing key personalities and using them to do their bidding. But loyalties are fleeting and alliances can quickly turn into rivalries. With a playtime of 90 to 120 minutes, Shadows over the Empire is a game of strategy and cunning for 2 to 4 players. The modular board and area majority mechanics add depth and complexity to the game, making it a thrilling experience for fans of medieval-themed games and card games alike.
