Description

The Capitals is a city-building game that challenges you to create a capital city that can stand the test of time. Over three eras, from Victorian to Modern Day, you'll need to plan ahead and make important decisions to build a city that can compete with the world's best. With over one hundred unique buildings to construct, no two cities will ever be identical, giving you the freedom to tell your city's unique story. In this 120-minute game for 2 to 5 players, you'll need to balance resources and time to bring your vision to life. While the rules may take some time to learn, the payoff is worth it - the winning player will earn the right to host the next World Expo, a prize reserved for only the most prestigious city. Designed by Thiago Boaventura and first published in 2013, The Capitals offers a unique blend of action points, card drafting, and tile placement mechanics that will keep you engaged and challenged.
