Description
In the board game Fiji, 2 to 5 players take on the role of European visitors looking to trade with the locals in 1777. The goal is to acquire highly valued shrunken head treasures for museums back home by offering colored glass beads in exchange. The game is easy to learn and plays out over four rounds, each lasting around 30 minutes in total. Players participate in an elaborate ritual, making offerings of colored beads and trying to outmaneuver each other to win the most or fewest beads of each color. With a mix of tactical logic and guesswork, players must think ahead to understand how their offers will play out, given the condition and effect cards in effect for the round. The game has a rock-scissors-paper like feel, where winning often depends on guessing how many beads other players will offer, making it a fun and puzzling auction style game with a humorous twist.
