Description

War & Write II is a strategic World War II wargame that's easy to learn and plays out in 30 to 60 minutes with 2 to 5 players. Designed by Wei-Cheng Cheng, Jay Bernardo, and Kun-Hang Lee, this 2023 release brings a fresh take on the classic conflict, with a unique blend of action points, area movement, and paper-and-pencil gameplay. Players take on the roles of Allied and Axis factions, navigating multiple theaters of war, including an alternate-history North and South American theater, across six map configurations. As players lead their factions through six rounds, each representing a year of the war, they'll need to negotiate and strategize to outmaneuver their opponents. The game features team-based gameplay, where factions can form diplomatic ties with neutral countries, reinforce units, and move to decisive battlegrounds. Key locations, marked with flags, hold significant influence in the League of Nations, and controlling these territories can swing victory in a faction's favor. With advanced play options, including unique technologies for each faction, players can unleash powerful abilities, such as Soviet spy networks, V-rockets, or Spitfire squadrons, to turn the tide of war. Will the Allies emerge victorious, or will the Axis alter history and achieve global domination? In War & Write II, the outcome is in your hands.
