Description

Pompeii: The Last Days is a thrilling board game that drops you into the ancient world, just as disaster is about to strike. With 2 to 8 players taking part, you'll start by building your presence in the doomed city, buying up real estate and recruiting people to inhabit your houses, shops, and temples. It's a game of strategy and planning, as you navigate the daily life of a Roman citizen, visiting friends, taking in the baths, and going shopping. But don't get too comfortable, because the clock is ticking - Mount Vesuvius is about to erupt, and you'll need to act fast to save your people and get them out of the city before it's too late. As the volcano unleashes its fury, the game shifts into high gear, with players racing against time to rescue their citizens and escape the deadly lava flows. With easy-to-learn rules, you'll be able to dive right in and start playing, even if you're new to board games. Designed by M. Morgantini and S. Simonini, Pompeii: The Last Days has been a classic since its release in 1989, and its unique blend of area movement, set collection, and roll-and-move mechanics makes for a game that's both fun and challenging.
