Description

In Cathedral, two players compete to build and capture territory on a grid, using colorful building pieces that range from one to five square units in size. The game starts with the placement of the neutral Cathedral piece, and then players take turns adding their own buildings to the board. As the game unfolds, players try to surround and capture their opponent's pieces, removing them from the board and claiming the territory for themselves. With easy-to-learn rules and a playtime of just 20 minutes, Cathedral is a quick and engaging game that's perfect for players of all ages. Designed by Robert P. Moore in 1979, this abstract strategy game requires careful planning and tactical thinking to outmaneuver your opponent and emerge victorious. With no necessary in-game text, Cathedral is a great choice for players who want a fun and challenging experience without any language barriers.
