Description

Cthulhu Tales is a darkly humorous storytelling card game where you'll try to convince the sanatorium staff that you're sane. You'll weave a tale of terrifying events that led you to the institution, while other players attempt to disrupt your story to make themselves seem more sane in comparison. The goal is to persuade the staff that you're the most rational one in the room, and the player with the least amount of "treatment" at the end wins their freedom. In this 20 to 60 minute game for 2 to 5 players, you'll use card drafting and storytelling mechanics to spin your yarn and cast doubt on your opponents' tales. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, you'll dive into the world of horror and novel-based gameplay, inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos. Will you be the one to escape the sanatorium, or will you be left behind to face the terrifying medical staff?
