In Barcelona: The Rose of Fire, you're transported to the late 19th century, where the city is expanding and prosperity is in the air. As one of 2 to 4 players, you'll compete to build your influence and wealth by constructing buildings in the new city. The more spectacular your constructions, the more notoriety you'll gain, but beware - this growth also brings unrest among the working class. As you build, you'll need to balance your pursuit of prestige with the risk of strikes and riots. By constructing buildings for the popular classes, you can keep the peace, but neglecting them can lead to trouble. With each era, the tension builds, and players with the most unrest will suffer the consequences. With normal complexity rules, this 70-90 minute game is perfect for board game enthusiasts looking for a fun and challenging experience.
