Description

In Hampi & the Sun Jewel, 2 to 5 players embark on a thrilling adventure to build the landscape of the historic city of Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage site in southern India. This tile-laying game, designed by Kiran Kulkarni and Sindhu Kulkarni, is easy to learn and plays out in 30 to 60 minutes. Players take turns placing tiles that depict various features such as farms, roads, temples, and villages, creating an ever-expanding board that requires strategic thinking and planning. As the landscape grows, players gather support from the local people, including miners, priests, and merchants, who hold the secrets of the land and can make or break a player's chances of winning. The ultimate goal is to find the Sun Jewel, a mysterious treasure that passes from player to player, finally resting with the seeker who has garnered the right support from the locals. With 96 tiles that can be configured in numerous combinations, the game offers plenty of opportunities for players to outsmart each other and disrupt each other's plans. As the game unfolds, players must balance their pursuit of points with the need to build support from the right people, making for a fun and challenging experience that requires a combination of strategic thinking and social insight. With its simple yet rich game mechanics, Hampi & the Sun Jewel is a game that will keep you engaged and entertained from start to finish.
