Description

Scientia is a tactical game where 2 to 4 players compete to develop their knowledge in four scientific fields: physics, chemistry, biology, and astronomy. With a playtime of just 30 to 45 minutes, this game is perfect for a quick yet engaging gaming session. Designed by Evan Song and published in 2019, Scientia offers a fun and challenging experience with its set collection mechanics. The game rules are of normal complexity, making it easy for board game enthusiasts to learn and dive right in. On each turn, players have two options: take a card and add it to their personal board, or rotate one or two cards to move them closer to completion. As cards are fully rotated, they're moved to the completion area, triggering a series of effects that can advance technology tokens, unlock new abilities, and earn points. With all cards visible to players and no random elements, Scientia is a game of strategy and planning. Each game features a unique combination of 12 cards from a pool of 48, so players must adapt their strategy to the cards at hand. The game ends when resources are depleted, and points are calculated based on various factors, including flask tokens, tech tokens, and fields. With its unique mechanics and competitive gameplay, Scientia is a great addition to any board game collection.
