Description

In Avignon: A Clash of Popes, you're a rival candidate for Pope in 14th century Christendom, vying for influence among the people to secure your legitimacy and the Throne of Saint Peter. This quick card game is all about manipulating influence to get ahead of your opponent. With simple rules that can be explained in no time, you'll be petitioning members of the medieval Church, such as Cardinals, Nobles, and Knights, to join your side. You'll use the unique powers of these characters to pull them into your congregation or force your opponent to push them your way. The goal is to get three characters on your side of the table, and the first player to do so wins. With a playtime of just 10 to 20 minutes, Avignon: A Clash of Popes is a fast-paced game of strategic influence that's perfect for a quick showdown with a friend.
