Description

In City Council, you and up to four other players take on the roles of council members in a newly founded city, working together to build a thriving metropolis. Your goal is to keep pollution low, crime under control, jobs plentiful, and the city budget in check, all while navigating the complex web of political interests and alliances. As the city grows, various political groups will come knocking, asking for favors and offering support in return, which can earn you victory points and bring you closer to becoming the city's first Mayor. With its unique blend of tile placement, voting, and worker placement mechanics, City Council offers a challenging and engaging experience that's easy to learn but hard to master. Designed by Elad Goldsteen and first published in 2013, this 60-minute game is perfect for 2 to 5 players who enjoy city building, negotiation, and political strategy, making it a great addition to any board game collection.
