Gothic Invasion is a thrilling board game that drops you into the midst of the Gothic Wars, a tumultuous period in history that spanned from 377 to 382 A.D. In this card-driven wargame, 2 to 5 players take on the roles of Goth leaders, such as Fritigern, Alatheus, and Saphrax, or Roman leaders, including Valens, Theodosius I, Gratian, and Flavius Richomeres. The objective is simple yet challenging: the Goth player must plunder nine cities of the East Roman empire, while the Roman player must defend these cities and slow down the Goth's advances until the spring of 382 A.D. As a game, Gothic Invasion is all about strategy and tactical maneuvering, with a unique blend of campaign and battle card-driven gameplay, dice rolling, and point-to-point movement. With secret unit deployment and variable player powers, each game is a fresh and exciting experience.
