Description

In Bridge Troll, you and your friends take on the role of hideous trolls guarding your own troll bridges, competing to build the most impressive operation. With easy-to-learn rules, 3 to 6 players can join in on the fun, which typically lasts around 45 minutes. Each turn, you'll throw boulders to bid for travelers, who come in all sorts, from fat merchants to poor monks, and even the occasional royal personage. The number of travelers varies depending on the weather, adding an extra layer of strategy to the game. As travelers cross your bridge, you'll collect tolls, but beware of knights, bandits, and dragons lurking in the countryside, waiting to cause trouble. To succeed, you'll need to balance collecting tolls with eating some of your travelers to satisfy your hunger, all while using your resources to improve your bridge. It's a delicate balance, as eating too many travelers or focusing solely on collecting money will hinder your progress. The player who best manages their tolls, food, and boulders to build the most impressive troll bridge operation will emerge victorious. Designed by Alf Seegert and published in 2009, Bridge Troll is a fun and engaging game that combines auction and hand management mechanics with elements of bluffing and economic strategy, making it a great choice for fans of fantasy and card games.
