Description

In Al Rashid, 2 to 5 players take on the roles of powerful family heads, vying for influence over the court of the great Caliph Harun al-Rashid. This game of strategy and resource management is set in the prosperous Middle East of the 8th and 9th centuries, where culture, science, and politics flourished. Players use their family members to trade, travel, and exert influence, aiming to accumulate prestige points and emerge victorious. With three types of workers at their disposal, players must carefully manage their resources and placement to maximize their influence and gain access to valuable resources, such as wood, pottery, and spices. The game is full of challenges, including raiders that appear spontaneously on the map, requiring players to hire mercenaries to combat them and protect their interests. After five turns, the player with the most prestige points is declared the winner, having successfully navigated the complex web of influence and resource management in Al Rashid.
