Description
In Chicago & NorthWestern, players take on the role of American Robber Barons, competing to exploit the Midwest's railroad potential in the late 1800s. This game is all about making savvy decisions and executing them flawlessly, as players start and expand railroads from Chicago to the Rocky Mountains. With a playtime of just 60 minutes, the game moves quickly, and alliances can shift rapidly as players focus on accumulating wealth for their stockholders. As a game of normal complexity, Chicago & NorthWestern is easy to learn for experienced board game players, and its economic and train-themed mechanics make for a thrilling experience. With 3 to 5 players competing, self-interest drives the game, and only the player with the most money at the end emerges victorious. Designed by John Bohrer and published in 2016, this game is not for the faint of heart - it's a cutthroat competition where only the shrewdest players will come out on top.
