Description
In The Manhattan Project: Energy Empire, players take on the role of a nation rising to power in the atomic age, building up their industry, commerce, and government by acquiring resources and tapping into various sources of energy. The game is set in the latter part of the 20th century, where the price of oil is on the rise and nuclear energy is the future. Players must navigate the challenges of industrialization and pollution, as their actions come with a cost and can have a significant impact on the environment. As players take turns, they can choose to work or generate, using worker placement and resource management mechanics to activate cards in their tableau and renew their energy supply. With the ability to spend energy to use occupied spaces on the main board, no opportunities are ever completely blocked. This game of normal complexity is suitable for 1 to 5 players and takes around 60 to 120 minutes to play, offering a fun and engaging experience for those familiar with board games.
