Description
In Mattock, you and your opponent take on the roles of miners digging corridors through the rock, with the goal of trapping each other to win. The game is easy to learn, with simple rules that allow you to dive right in. On each turn, you'll mine by placing a tile, move one of your miners to a connected tile, and then remove any of your opponent's miners that are cut off and surrounded by your own. As you play, you'll need to balance your own expansion with the risk of collapse, since placing a tile that touches too many others can end your turn and potentially the game. With its unique blend of tile placement, network building, and strategic thinking, Mattock offers a fun and challenging experience for two players, with games lasting anywhere from 5 to 40 minutes.
