Description

Jäger und Sammler is a fun and strategic board game set in the Stone Age, where 2 to 4 players take control of a tribe of hunter/gatherers. The game is easy to learn, with simple rules that get you started quickly, and plays out over about 45 minutes. Designed by Reiner Knizia, the game is all about collecting tiles to score points, with the goal of gathering as many as possible. Players have two movement points per turn, and can only move to untaken tiles, which they can then take and add to their collection. The game is divided into summer and winter phases, with players visiting winter camps during the summer to stock up on supplies. The tiles you collect can be food, artifacts, weapons, or even mammoths, each with its own point value or use. Food tiles score points at the end of the game, while rare artifacts increase in value the more you collect. Weapons are used to hunt down mammoths, and path-tiles and caves help you move around the board. With its unique blend of exploration, strategy, and set collection, Jäger und Sammler is a great game for anyone looking for a fun and engaging experience. Published in 2010, this prehistoric-themed game is a great addition to any board game collection, offering a fun and challenging experience for players of all ages.
