Description

Mycelia is a game of strategic fun where you compete to build your own mushroom kingdom, navigating the life cycle of fungi to score points. With easy-to-learn rules, 1 to 4 players can dive into this dynamic world, exploring the tactics of creation, expansion, death, and rebirth. The game is all about growing mushrooms, sporing them to expand your network, and eventually seeing them decay to unlock special actions. On each turn, you have two actions to choose from six options, allowing you to evolve your own playing style - will you play aggressively, stealing spores and disrupting other players' networks, or defensively, protecting your area and spores? The game board is made up of triangle tiles representing different environments and nutrients, which players can add to as they play, making the board grow and evolve with each game. With beautiful botanical illustrations of over 69 real-world mushrooms, Mycelia is as visually stunning as it is engaging. Published in 2024 and designed by J.J. Neville, this environmental-themed game offers a unique blend of grid movement, card drafting, and tile placement mechanics. Whether you're playing solo or with friends, Mycelia offers 40 to 90 minutes of immersive fun, challenging you to build the ultimate mushroom kingdom.
