Description

In Azteca, you'll take on the role of a powerful emperor, leading one of four great fifteenth century peoples in the valleys of Mexico. Your ultimate goal is to appease the god of creation, Quetzalcoatl, by accumulating sacrifice points through strategic battles, expeditions, alliances, city building, and clever revolts. With a playtime of 240 minutes, you'll have ample opportunity to develop your empire and outmaneuver your opponents. As you navigate the complexities of Azteca, you'll need to balance finances, forge alliances, and make tactical decisions to gain the upper hand. With normal complexity rules, experienced board game players will find Azteca easy to learn, while newcomers will appreciate the depth of gameplay. Designed by Pascal Bernard and first published in 1998, Azteca offers a rich and immersive experience for 2 to 4 players, combining elements of city building, civilization, and economic strategy with exciting mechanics like auction bidding and secret unit deployment.
