Description
In Mauna Kea, you're on a mission to explore a volcanic island in the South Pacific with your research team, but things take a turn when the volcano erupts. You must find artifacts and get your researchers to the rescue boats at the coast before it's too late. With easy-to-learn rules, this adventure game is perfect for 2 to 4 players and can be played in just 45 minutes. You'll start with a team of researchers and terrain tiles, using them to move around the island and collect artifacts. But watch out for lava tiles, which can cover terrain and researchers, ending their journey. The game ends when one player has no researchers left, and the player with the highest score wins, earning points for saved researchers, artifacts, and completed tasks. Designed by Touko Tahkokallio and published in 2013, Mauna Kea is a thrilling game of strategy and luck.
