Description
In The Princes of Machu Picchu, 2 to 5 players take on the roles of Incan princes, working to keep their secret city hidden from the Spanish. The game is set high above the river Urabumba, where players must manage their workers to grow corn, feed llamas, and manufacture goods, all while trying to engage the support of powerful priests and virgins. With no necessary in-game text, players of all languages can join in on the fun. As players navigate the city map, they must make wise decisions to activate the priests and virgins, or risk the Spanish discovering their hidden city. The game can end in one of two ways, with either the Incans emerging victorious or the Spanish claiming the city. With a playtime of 90 minutes and normal complexity, this 2008 game designed by Mac Gerdts is perfect for fans of civilization and economic games looking for a fun and challenging experience.
