Description

In New Amsterdam, you'll take on the role of a patron in the 17th century Dutch colony, competing to build your economic empire. With 2 to 5 players, you'll bid on action lots to build businesses, work land, and trade with the Lenape Indians. As you claim more land, the Lenape camps will be pushed farther up the Hudson River, making trade more complicated and challenging your strategic thinking. This 90-minute game is designed for players familiar with board games, with normal complexity rules that are easy to learn. Published in 2012 by Jeffrey D. Allers, New Amsterdam combines area majority, auction, and set collection mechanics for a thrilling economic and Renaissance-themed experience. With no necessary in-game text, players of all languages can join in, making it a great addition to any game night.
