Description

Get ready to shake things up in the temple with Escape: The Curse of the Temple – Expansion 1: Illusions, a thrilling addition to the original Escape game. Designed by Kristian Amundsen Østby, this 2012 expansion brings new challenges and excitement to the cooperative gameplay experience that can be enjoyed by 1 to 6 players. With a playtime of just 10 minutes, it's easy to dive in and start exploring the temple, but be warned: the Illusions expansion adds a whole new level of complexity to the game. The rules are still easy to learn, but the new modules will keep you on your toes as you navigate the modular board and roll the dice to overcome obstacles. The Illusions expansion introduces two new modules: Illusion Chambers and Special Chambers. The Illusion Chambers module adds a new level of unpredictability to the game, as chambers can disappear at any moment, cutting off access to parts of the temple. The Special Chambers module, on the other hand, offers new opportunities to activate magic gems and ease your escape, but also presents new challenges, such as the treasure chamber tile, where you must retrieve a chalice and bear it to the exit tile to win the game. With new components, including curse cards and treasure tiles, and support for a sixth player, this expansion is a must-have for fans of the original game looking to mix things up and take their gameplay to the next level.
