Description
In Time of Crisis, 2 to 4 players take on the roles of Roman dynasties, vying for power and influence during a tumultuous period in Roman history. The game is set between 235-284 AD, a time of great upheaval and instability for the empire. Players start with control of one province and a few low-value cards, and must build their armies, take control of valuable provinces, and develop their support among the senate, military, and people of Rome. As players navigate the challenges of the game, they'll encounter barbarian incursions, inopportune events, and the machinations of their opponents. With a unique blend of deckbuilding and board game mechanics, Time of Crisis offers a fun and engaging experience that's easy to learn and playable in about 2-3 hours. Players can specialize in manipulating the Senate, wielding the power of the Legions, or being a man of the People, and must manage their deck and timing carefully to emerge victorious.
