DEFCON 1 is a thrilling board game set during the Cold War era, where 2 to 5 players take on the roles of powerful nations vying for dominance. With variable player powers and historically based cards and technologies, each game is unique and challenging. The game features different gameplay modes depending on the number of players, from the tense Frontal Shock Game with 2 players to the complex Secret Objective Game with 5 players. As players navigate the game's 5 phases, they must manage resources, research new technologies, and make strategic decisions to outmaneuver their opponents. The DEFCON level decreases as players take actions, unlocking new options like building nuclear bombs. With scalable units, mission cards, and a space race to earn influence, DEFCON 1 offers a rich and immersive gaming experience that will keep you on the edge of your seat for 90 to 180 minutes.
